5/29/14 AHW

So I was browsing iFunny, you know, just, toodle-a-doo, when all of the sudden I see this post, and its about this cat, who everyone in the neighbourhood called ugly. It has scars everywhere and was missing an eye and a tail and its legs were messed up. Everyone was doing cruel things to it. Then one day, this guy hears the cat shrieking and this dog growling, and so the guy runs all the way down his stairs and he finds the cat on the ground, dieing ;(, and so he picks it up, and after all of that torture, all it had wanted was some affection. And it made me so sad happy.

Literrary Essay May 28th, 2014

Blood on the River:
Literary Essay by:
Simon Oliver Stevens

(Claim)
My claim for Blood on the River is that, Samuel found a new family.

(Reasons)
(Reason 1) One reason, Sam steals Ann's baby, Virginia, and brings her to Point Comfort, to make Ann and John Laydon to come to Point Comfort, because he wants Ann to be safe, because Sam beilieves that Point Comfort will be safer, which it ends up being.
(Reason 2) Another reason, of why I think my claim is ____, is that, in the book, it says “After she,” being Ann “heard what happened to Captain Ratcliffe, Ann begged Captain Davies to retract my sentance,” (Page #216) and Ann does this because, I think, because Sam is the only one with the beeds, and the people of Point Comfort's only chance to survive. Another reason I think Ann did this, is because Sam was like a son to Ann and John.
(Reason 3)

At-Home Writing May 27th, 2014

After watching Hunter's Video today, I am now trying to get Mac OS X Mavericks onto a Virtual Box (a virtual Operating System) on my Ubuntu System, on my laptop.

So, I was reading outside in the rain earlier tonight, and it was pretty fun. So I got my Watch_Dogs Season Pass and GameStop extra add-on for my Xbox One today, but sill, no Watch_Dogs has come in yet. The guy at GameStop said that it's cheaper for the company to send the game straight from the warehouse to the costumers, rather than having the store as the middle man. So I'm still waiting.

I'm thinking about extending my Ubuntu Partition, but there are some problems with it, so I don't thinks it perfect yet with my computer. Besides, I won't be needing that much room yet, and if I do, its fairly easy.

So that's my At-Home Writing for the day. Check back tomorrow for anything else I might be up to, or some news on what’s happening already.

Sincerely,
Simon

AHW 5/22/14

So, I am running an experiment for Android KitKat, and I'm making a partition (a seperate section of a memory device, ex. Hard Drive or Solid State Drive) for 20 Gigabytes. I'm going to install Android on it, and test it out, and if I like it, and am okay with 20GB of space, I'll keep it, but only if it works, which it should.

If I keep it, it turns into a tri-boot, which is very dangerous, and confusing, but I'll figure it out, I'm still going to try to install Mac OS X, creating a quad-boot, which might be a maze to get to each partition, but may be pretty simple if I install a Hackintosh (what a computer is called when it has Mac OS but isn't a Macintosh itself) boot-loader (a program that easily selects different boot-able partitions) and hopefully it'll selectthe four different boot-able partitions, which would be pretty cool, but I think I'm going to hold off on the Hackintosh/Mac OS X idea for now, because a lot of the times the drivers don't work, and you need special programs to make them work, so for now, just Winodws 8.1 and Ubuntu, and maybe Android KitKat.

UPDATE: 2 O'Clock
So, Android failed, it was not recongized as boot-able through my flash drive. SO for now, I'm just going to stick with my fabulous dual-boot for, and do some research on Hackintosh, so I can install the correct drivers, and make sure its touchscreen compatible.

Another thing, one of the laptops Mr. Joseph had me bring home, I feel that if I upgrade the RAM to a Gigabyte or two, it should be able to run Ubuntu, the other one, the smaller WinBook, is a no go, and will probably have to be re-installed with Vista, or XP (ugh), on it.

In other news, I'm going to save up money to buy somethings on eBay, a screw-driver, and gameboy cartridge battery and a new laptop charger, and some awesome headphones (SkullCandy's), and then a nice Android Tablet, so that I can put Ubuntu on it, which looks really nice on a tablet. Maybe when the new Windows Surface Pro III comes out, that too, but currently, after I get the headphones, I'm gonna be working the money game.

AHW 5/21/14-Successful Windows 8.1 and Ununtu Dual-Boot

<Post>

I am SUCCESSFUL!!
I am currently installing Ubuntu, to my, Acer Aspire V5, to create my Windows 8.1 and Ubuntu dual-boot, as told previously today. One thing that I am wishing for, is that the touch-screen driver works out of the installer (which it does). As told on mine, and maybe Hunter's blogs, one of the laptops I got from Mr. Joseph, the touch-pad mouse didn't work, it only worked, in the installer.
</Post>
<Update1>

So it turns out, the touch-screen does actually work, just a little worse than I though it was, but I can still try the new mobile Ubuntu, that the Ubuntu Devolpers have just finished, it might be really good. Anyway, I'll post a video later tonight, after I edit the book discusion video, of my Ubuntu boot-up setup, and me using the touch screen.

AHW 5/21/14 Morning Writing

               So, it turns out I won’t get my game on the date its released, because GameStop is too lazy to have it sent to them because I changed it to the special package to late, so they’ll ship it from the factory on the release day.

               Anyways, I am planning on tri-booting my laptop, with Windows 8.1, Ubuntu, and Mac OS X. I am currently only going to dual-boot with Windows 8.1 and Ubuntu, because when I install the Mac OS, I want it to be touchscreen compatible, which is possible, proven on Microsoft’s Surface Pro 2, dual-booted with Android and Mac OS, and pretty amazing.

               I’m currently writing this in the morning, and… there’s the bell. So I guess I’ll have to go in a minute. So, currently, I’m planning, which should happen today, to dual-boot Windows 8.1 and Ubuntu.

At-Home Writing-5/13/14

I am really excited for a game that comes out the 27th, it's called Watch_dogs. It is a really cool game, with really cool features. I'm saving up to buy the special edition, which has some pretty cool stuff in it.

The game itself has HUNDREDS of different NPC's, and fun little in-game things. One, of the two, really cool features, is that at anytime, someone can come into your Single Player world, and try to hack into your system, and you then have to try to stop them. Another cool feature, is that you can connect to the game from an app your phone/tablet, and help the player, or challenge the player to do various things.

Another thing, you can do, is call in you "crew," and they can do different things with you against another "crew," or team, and the possibilities are ENDLESS!* It was meant to come out in November, 2013, but they pushed the date back a bit, because they had to make it better. A conspiracy I had, was that they just did this too gain hype.
*Possibilities are actually end-able, just they are so many of them, I decided to exaggerate just a tiny bit.

So yeah, that's the game I really, REALLY want, not some bad Titanfall(AMAZING)/Halo(Also USED to be Amazing) mock-off (Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare). Are though there are other games that look good, this is the game I'm looking forward to the most.

Simon

HTML Code-5/12/14-100TH POST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In-Class Writing-5/12/14

In-Class Writing/At-Home Writing

WARNING: I am writing this in html!

Yayy!! It's my 100th post!

(Including drafts :( *sadface*)
So, I looked at my grade, and I think I'm going to need people to Sherpa me in a class like Spanish, someone like Leo or Ryan, someone who does really well in Spanish, and usually doesn't forget their work, I think it would really help me pick up my Spanish grade.
So, this is something that happened on my way home from school, when I had gotten off the bus, it had started to rain! Not TOO hard, lightly, mostly. But as soon as I got to my front door, and my brother walked up and saw me, it started to POOR!! Really hard. After that, my mom came home, and said that she was waiting for me at the bus stop, and somehow I had gotten home early. WOW. What a day today. I pretty good one I'd say!
Well, I guess that's both my In-Class and At-Home Writing for the day! Hope you read my blog next time.

In School Writing-5/9/14-Ubuntu Opportunity

     Mr. Joseph gave my friend, Hunter, and I the old laptops, because he doesn't know the passwords to them, so we are going to install Ubuntu on them, over the weekend. I hope this doesn't interfere with any plans my mom made, that involve going into the OUTER-NET!! Simon no like the outer-net, Simon stay inside with technology.

     Anyways, I might go to this really crappy outdoor skate park in Berkeley, and maybe do some other fun stuff, like use technology.

Extra Ubuntu Photo

     So Mr. Joseph told me to just write, so I am. I'm just typing, typing away, fixing my errors as I go on, because that's what I was told to do. I'm really bored, and a little hungry. So over the summer, I am going to work out and exercise and loose some what weight so I can be "Strong like bull," and I'll be all tough and stuff.
     I'm also going to try to make some money, and save up for some stuff, like some games and stuff on eBay and Amazon. So my mom said she was going to buy the Watch_Dogs game, so I'm saving up $70 so I can get the limited edition, and the seasons pass, and some stuff on eBay,and some weapons and headphones. So yeah, I hope I don't get bored this summer, because I found some things to do.
