Michigan's should NOT go on to a year-round school schedule, because there are lots of things that run with the traditional schedule, and wouldn't be possible with a year round schedule.
Lots of people don't go on vacation during the school year, because they will miss a lot of work, and have to make it up, so that's why lots of people go on vacation over the summer, becasue then they don't need make-up work. Another thing is Summer Camp. Lots of kids go to summer camp, so they can learn more on a topic in school, like music camps, or art camps and lots of other things, like math camp.
The year-round schools also give kids too much stress, and makes it hard for them to work for a long time.
