(Claim)
“I
take another deep breath. My anger is focused. I have made a
decision. I have a plan. I believe Reverend Hunt would approve-I have
made this decision out of love.
I
am going to steal a baby.”
This
is quote out of Blood on the River, Chapter Twenty-Five, page 208. It
helps support my claim that 'Samuel has found a new family, and he
very dearly cares for them.'
(Reasons)
(Reason
1) “I take another deep breath. My anger is focused. I have made a
decision. I have a plan. I believe Reverend Hunt would approve-I have
made this decision out of love.
I
am going to steal a baby.”
One
reason, Sam steals Ann's baby, Virginia, and brings her to Point
Comfort, is to force Ann and John Laydon to follow him to Point
Comfort, because he wants them to be safer. Sam does this because he
believes that Point Comfort will be much safer than the palisade,
which it ends up being.

(Conclusion)
In
conclusion, any of Samuel's intentions, we meant to help his new
family, because he loved his new family, because he had been an
orphan for most of his life, and he finally found a family that he
loved, so he didn't want them to get hurt and die, so he was trying
to help them, which, in the end, he ended up doing.
